AUGUST J. BECKER lll, CEO/ President Paramedical Personnnel of Md
Mr. Becker is a Navy Veteran, and a former paramedic with years of experience in emergency response and medicine. He is a Life Member of Havre de Grace Ambulance Corp. He has been teaching CPR with the American Heart Association since 1975 and has served on various AHA committees. When the American Heart Association started the training center concept, he established the PPM Corporation.
Our beginnings were simple; with a single instructor and a mission to save lives, Mr. Becker literally began PPM in his basement. His determination and ongoing concern for human life is what has grown the company into a diverse training center with over 500 instructors.
Paramedical Personnel of Maryland (PPM) is the largest private safety-training center in the state of Maryland. Our instructors teach all across the United States and other countries. We certify over 40,000 people a year in all American Heart Association programs:
Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP), HeartSaver CPR, Heartsaver First Aid, including Narcan training, a Sitter Safety Program, and Mental Health First Aid.
In addition, our instructors are authorized to train for the National Safety Council, American Safety and Health Institute, and Emergency Orthopedic Surgeons. PPM has partnerships with several community colleges as well as state and local government agencies.
Recognizing the needs of hard working professionals and volunteers, in 2005 PPM started a full-service brick and mortar store providing equipment for CPR/First Aid Instructors as well as uniforms and emergency equipment for fire departments and private companies.
In 2008 we purchased our own computerized embroidery machine and the Embellishment Division was born, offering personalization of gear and apparel.
In 2020, we added online shopping at PPM Company Store for your convenience.
